International road freight forwarding
Road freight offers flexible loading and direct delivery across borders. From Istanbul, SSA Logitra coordinates international full and part loads through contracted transport companies and a partner network that includes FIATA members.
Flexible cross-border transport, coordinated end to end
Road freight works well when you need flexible collection times, direct delivery to the consignee's door, or a practical option between air and sea for overland routes. It suits full loads and smaller consignments alike, from palletized goods to temperature-sensitive products.
Each shipment is arranged through contracted carriers and international logistics partners selected for the route and cargo. We match the trailer type to your goods and coordinate collection, routing and delivery. For full loads, a truck is dedicated to your cargo; for smaller shipments, LTL and groupage services combine consignments to share capacity and cost.
Cross-border road transport depends on correct documentation. We coordinate the CMR consignment note and, where required, T1/NCTS transit or TIR Carnet procedures with the carrier and the authorized parties responsible for them, on import, export and cross-trade routes.

What we coordinate
FTL, LTL and Groupage
A dedicated truck for full loads, or LTL and groupage services that combine smaller consignments for cost-efficient transport.
Curtainsider and Mega Trailers
Curtainsider (tautliner) trailers for side and top loading of general cargo, and mega trailers for higher-volume, lighter loads.
Refrigerated Transport
Temperature-controlled trailers for cargo that must be kept within a set temperature range during transit.
ADR Dangerous Goods
Dangerous goods transported in line with ADR requirements by qualified carriers, subject to classification, documentation and carrier acceptance.
Transport and Transit Documentation
Coordination of the CMR consignment note and of T1/NCTS transit or TIR Carnet procedures with the carrier and the authorized parties who issue and process them.
How it works

Collection and delivery addresses, cargo type, number of pallets or loading meters, weight, and preferred timing, plus any temperature or ADR requirements.
Planning & Quote
We determine whether FTL, LTL or groupage suits your cargo, select the right trailer type with our contracted carriers, and send you a quotation.
Booking & Documents
Once you confirm, we book the vehicle and coordinate collection, the CMR, and any transit or customs documentation required for the route.
Transit & Delivery
We stay in contact with the carrier through collection, border crossings and delivery, and provide status updates on request.
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between FTL and LTL?
With FTL (Full Truck Load), a truck is dedicated to your cargo, which usually means faster transit and less handling. With LTL (Less Than Truckload) or groupage, your goods share trailer space with other consignments, making it cost-effective for smaller shipments, though collection and delivery follow a consolidated schedule.
Can you arrange refrigerated or ADR transportation?
Yes. We coordinate refrigerated transport for temperature-sensitive goods and ADR transport for dangerous goods. Both depend on the cargo's requirements, the applicable regulations, and the availability and acceptance of suitably equipped and qualified carriers.
Which transport and transit documents do you coordinate?
We coordinate the CMR consignment note for international road transport, and, where the route requires them, T1/NCTS transit declarations and TIR Carnet procedures. These are prepared and processed with the carrier and the authorized parties responsible for them.
Do you organize cross-border road freight?
Yes. We coordinate international road shipments on import, export and cross-trade routes, including border-crossing documentation, through contracted transport companies and our international logistics partners.
Can I request shipment updates?
Yes. Shipment status updates are available on request. We stay in contact with the carrier and share progress information as your cargo moves.
